Lets get back out there!!! Week 3 and 4 are really important. If there is any hope left out there, now is the time to act on it...

I am planning on getting on the water this weekend. Sun. for sure and Sat. if I finish my work on the island in time. I was on Orcas today and am going back tomorrow till?. There was a lot of boat traffic today, as well as, a bunch of sea junk due to the high tide. I have room for three maybe four.

  4. Thanks, Matt for helping to man the Knott 1 on saturday. And thanks to Cheri and Jaimee for coming out on Sunday (oh, Atlas and Mr. Titterman too.) Both days their were a lot of kyakers along the shores, we zig zaged south of fairhaven and just occupied space out there. hey Krystaline, i cant find your number to call you, are you coming up with anything different? Feel free to call me. I am hoping to get out a couple days mid week, tues and wed. Anyone can get a hold of me if you would like to go.

  6. The three people lost in a canoe a few years ago were found three and a half weeks later within four days of one another. It's a long shot, but, untill the fifth week passes, I will be on the water as much as I can. Just being some eyes out there.
I have one already for tues, more are welcome. 11am fairhaven boat launch. Wed. is my pop's b-day, so I think just me and my sis are going out.
We just had a monster low tide the other day, and the low tides in the future are not that low. This means stagnant water and little change. This takes out the "what was there today may not be there tomorrow" thing out of it..... SO, don't feel that your efforts won't matter. Got some free time? Take a hike. Tell us where you've been.
Shout out to Steven's sister e mailing him the blog. Hey. Hows the heat in T-has. And steve, as i said, you've got my eyes, when i can.

  7. Brian, my son and I were out long Birch Bay on Sunday. We walked south and were out 6 hours. Not sure how many miles we covered, but we walked from the southern end of the public beach, all the way down to the point. We did not find anything.

  8. On Saturday I searched Squalicum beach up to Lummi. The tide was so low. Nothing found, but it was so peaceful out there, the mud warm and squishy. I remember Gunther liked that beach.

  9. I was at Mud Bay on Saturday. Walked all the way out the inner shore to the RR tracks during the lowest tide. Didn't see or find anything.

  13. Jeff, you can always call me, especially if you have the "can't find a crew" blues! I'm leaving tomorrow a.m. to go out of town for the weekend (sorry we won't be around to come to your place), but after that I'll be pretty open. Mid week works well for me. Call a sister... and maybe I'll make you yummy dinner again :)

  17. Thanks, Barb and Brian, Pete, Hanna, Kristi, Matt, and Sara for your assistance Thurs-Sat. My rudder is toasted (mighty putty my ass), but hope to have it re-welded this week (thanks Bret). I have plans to get out wed. and thurs. I must get back to work next week, so, I regret to say that this will conclude the mid week search efforts of the knotty 1. I would like to thank everyone for all of your help, hearts, compassion and understanding. See you all this weekend for an epic rememberence. Love and Peace Jeff.
