Important change for Friday, for those who want to keep searching, our meet point is now at the Squalicum Marina, Gate 9 (close to Bayside Cafe), 10am. This is due to the Alaska Ferry loading up in Fairhaven & generating lots of traffice etc. in the area.
There will be food & water, generously donated by lots of eateries here in town, today Trader Joe's pitched in, THANK YOU ALL!

ReplyDeleteThe new meeting point is just north of the Squalicum harbor launch ramp and the Bayside Cafe. Visitor dock mooring available for watercraft at the end tie of gate 9.
I'll be flying to work on San Jaun Island today, then taking Kevin's island work mobile home on the ferry. You know I'll be looking for our missing sailors!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't lived in town for a few years now, but I have a lot of love for those guys and always made a point to find them when i visited. My friend Bonnie also was lost in the water a few years ago and she showed up on portage island a week later sadly no longer with us. It sounds like you all are doing an amazing job and I'm sure you've been out to portage and lummi islands already, Stomish is this weekend so there will be extra eyes in the water especially if you send an envoy to the tribe. good luck, my prayers are with the guys and you all.
ReplyDeleteagain thank everyone for the continued support in finding Sean and Gunther
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let everyone know that I talked to a co-worker at Padilla Bay Reserve and she is going to let everyone know in that office to keep an eye out for our friends when working out in the Bay. They go out on to the mudflats about twice a week.
ReplyDeleteYesterday morning I let everyone at Superfeet (that's where I work) know what is going on with the search for Sean and Gunther. We decided to start a donation fund for this cause. I am so happy to say that we raised $780.00
ReplyDeleteI have the donations and need to talk with someone about what these donations should go towards. I know there are a lot of need's right now. Could someone call me @ 319-5726 and we can talk about this. Thanks
Tim, that is so great!! I'm going to forward your message to Melissa.(I'm trying to help her out while she's out of town for a minute) You could also try to contact Hollie (holliehuthman@gmail.com). Looks like she might have some info too.
