FRIDAY SEARCH

10 comments:

  1. Colophon Cafe in Fairhaven is donating breakfast on Friday morning. They will have bagels, muffins, french baguettes and honey wheat rolls ready at 8am if anyone can pick them up.

If you go that early, the front doors will be locked - but you can enter from the back of the building. Otherwise, you can get them a little bit later after the store opens.

Thanks to those helping pick up the food since we're not able.

  4. That's weird, I posted here and it's not on--maybe the redundancy I missed. Anyway, I can pick up food on Saturday if needed--and I can do it tomorrow if for some reason Suzie can't do it.

  6. Important change for Friday, for those who want to keep searching, our meet point is now at the Squalicum Marina, Gate 9 (close to Bayside Cafe), 10am. This is due to the Alaska Ferry loading up in Fairhaven & generating lots of traffice etc. in the area.

There will be food & water, generously donated by lots of eateries here in town, today Trader Joe's pitched in, THANK YOU ALL!

  7. First off that you all for searching, I wish I was in town to help out. For those that are still searching I wanted to pass on a little information I was able to get from looking at a tide and current modeling program (via a local fisherman). In the AM hours that night the tide began pushing out but not very stong. The nearest strong currents were on the outside of lummi island. Also over the next few days the currents were fairly weak, a little stronger pushing in which would maybe push things north. With the weak currents the winds likely played a large role and I am not sure of their direction that night and morning. Hope this helps.

  8. The new meeting point is just north of the Squalicum harbor launch ramp and the Bayside Cafe. Visitor dock mooring available for watercraft at the end tie of gate 9.
