MAP and PLACES SEARCHED update

m said...

Kara -- looks fantastic! This is exactly what we need. Maybe the best thing is to invite others who've been searching to input their info directly into the map.

One suggestion -- please include AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE (date searched, who searched, mode of travel, etc).

Here's a link to the map:

  4. me and my fiance were sent to Locust Beach yesterday from 10:30am-2pm we went straight out with the tide and to the right towards the river, no luck in finding anything, but the river did stop us from searching the shore line where all the driftwood washed up, there are some houses above it, maybe ask them to keep an eye out down below

  5. Please add to the map that Irene and I walked the railroad tracks on Chuckanut Bay from Yacht Club Rd North to the point the tracks curve west. We saw a small black table-like object floating, a little bigger than a large text book maybe. It had four feet and was upside down.

  10. Has anybody looked around Sucia Island, where the body of a man was found at the end of May? Perhaps it is an accumulation spot. I don't recall which part of the island the body was found on but maybe somebody else does? Last I heard they had not identified the man so there would be no way to know where he went into the water.

  13. Brian and I searched along Williamson point (north west end of Samish Island) In Kayaks on Wednesday 4:30 pm till 9:30 pm, it was low tide when we went in at Blau oyster farm, and high tide when we pulled out. We hooked the point for about a 1/2 mile or so past the marker for the point, and found an old brown shoe (Hushpuppy) but nothing else. We tried to input it on the map but didn't have permission.
